COACHELLA — Building Healthy Communities Eastern Coachella Valley is hosting three different events to allow local residents to voice their thoughts on ways to improve their community’s health for its upcoming Community Action Plan update.
These meetings will occur on three different dates:
  • Thursday, March 21, at Bobby Duke Middle School
  • Tuesday, March 26, at North Shore Beach/Yatch Club
  • Thursday, March 28, at Mecca Boys & Girls Club
Each meeting begins promptly at 5:30 p.m. and ends at 7:30 p.m.
BHC is a ten-year initiative of The California Endowment, in communities across the state, meant to improve and positively impact the way residents think about healthy lifestyles and neighborhoods. Being a part of the BHC’s Community Action Plan is a perfect outlet for residents who want to participate in improving their community.
As part of the events, BHC will offer individualized breakout sessions dealing with subjects varying from schools and youth to neighborhoods and prevention. All of these subjects will be touched upon and talked as they relate to community health. Amenities such as child care, interpretation, and dinner will be provided to encourage attendance.
