Eduardo Guevara, a local leader in the environmental justice movement, will participate in the Environmental Justice Taskforce workshop today at UC Riverside Palm Desert.

Palm Desert, CA – As part of their efforts to raise awareness of the living conditions of the Eastern Coachella Valley, the Environmental Justice Enforcement Taskforce for the Eastern Coachella Valley will hold a workshop on cumulative impacts today.

The workshop will be held at the UCR Palm Desert Campus, Conference Room A113, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Cal/EPA and the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment will have staff participating in the workshop via videoconference from Sacramento.

Event organizers say this is very important and may define how environmental justice communities are recognized in the future for California.

No pre-registration is needed.
